Things are finally looking up for Christian Lacroix! The designer filed for bankruptcy in May and has since been seeking a financial backer to prevent the label from folding.

At first it seemed bleak, but last week things felt as though there was hope on the horizon: Bernard Krief Consulting, an investment firm based out of Paris, made an offer but ultimately it was too little.

Now, however, it seems as though the the label may have finally found its savior in the final hours. The Borletti Group, an investment company in Italy, has put in an offer that's considered to be a "serious bid." The Borletti Group has stake in the European department stores, La Rinascente and Le Printemps.

Exciting! It would be so sad to lose legendary Christian Lacroix. Congrats!!
