Rumors are swirling that the lovely Emma Watson is designing a clothing line for People Tree, which a fair-trade company.

The 19-year-old actress and new face of Burberry has grown up before our eyes and has become quite the fashion force on and off the red carpet.

That being said, the actress recently said that she's not "really interested in it for my own ego. I'm not a designer. If someone asked me to do something that was beneficial to a cause, then maybe I'd consider it, but i'm not just [going to say] 'Look at me! I've got my own line!' [It's] gotten so ridiculous."

Hm. While we're sure whatever the normally down to earth star would come up with would be cool, we'd kind of feel disappointed if this is true. And while we guess it could be "beneficial to a cause," since People Tree is a fair-trade company, it still seems like selling out.

What makes her cool and interesting is the fact that she doesn't want to produce a fashion line and wants to focus on her craft. This would make her so generic. But we'd probably like whatever she made (bitch has great taste).

Still, let's hope this isn't true, just because nobody likes a hypocrite!
