Mary J. Blige and Frida Giannini, creative director at Gucci, have teamed up to design a watch that will benefit The Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN), Blige's charity.
Of the collaboration, Giannini said, "Mary J. inspires all of us with her songs and now her commitment to the empowerment of disadvantaged young women. We're proud to support [her] foundation."
A portion of the proceeds from each watch will go to the organization, which helps women get on their feet after traumas and aids in career advancement and education. Blige, who once suffered from domestic abuse, founded the organization in 2007 with Steve Stoute, marketing bigwig.
What's more, on September 16th, a portion every purchase made at Gucci's NYC flagship store (not just the watch) will benefit FFAWN.
A spawn of Gucci's "Twirl" watch, the FFAWN watch morphs into a bracelet with the flip of the case.
Very sleek!
