Emma Watson Lays The First Brick In Brand Expansion

The rumors were true: Emma Watson is going to be working with fair-trade company People Tree on a collection geared toward people in their late teens and early twenties.

But, it's not quite as bad as we had originally thought.

First of all, she's joined forces with People Tree as a "creative advisor" (how very La Lohan of her), so she's not claiming to actually design anything.

Second, royalties from the sales of her line will go to the People Tree Foundation, which works to promote environmental justice and Fair Trade.

So, really, she did keep her word that she isn't "really interested in [designing] for my own ego. I'm not a designer."

And actually, we're a bit excited to see what she turns out. Hopefully it's cute.

The collection will launch in February 2010 and will feature 26 pieces for women and 15 for men.

Between this and school, she's a busy girl!
