Yes, you read that correctly. Detroit, as in The 8 Mile city, has just wrapped its fourth annual fashion week this past Saturday.
Detroit doesn't exactly scream "fashion" to us. But, according to Brian Heath, the founder and producer of Detroit Fashion Week, "Michigan is more approachable for a designer who wants to be able to afford housing and also run a business and make a profit."
Umm, did he not get the memo that Detroit is ranked as THE most dangerous city in America according to Forbes?
We understand designers should take risks in fashion, but when it comes to their life that's asking a little much.
But, in case you missed Detroit Fashion Week, here's your second chance!
The fashion community is putting together a "high-end runway show" in less than 2 weeks. Betsey Johnson and Kid Rock (yes, really) will be showing their lines.
Umm, when did Kid Rock become "high-end"? He sells his own beer!!!
