This is insane!
A company by the name of Money Laundry Clothing is making shirts out of US currency.
What!?
According to the company's website:
The line, inspired by and made from US currency, is thought to be the first-ever clothing line made from recycled currency. Through a patented process, "Money Thread," thread recycled from real US currency, is used in each custom piece of clothing included in the line. Each design also draws its graphic influences from currency based in the 19th and 20th centuries.
But don't go thinking you can go and cash your shirt in at the bank. The average amount of currency in one of the $70 shirts is only $22.56.
We're still not sure how this is legal. Even if the money is "recycled", isn't it still the property of the United States?
What do U think of this idea???
