Vanity Fair Channels Old Hollywood Glamor For March

On October 10th, lovers of both film and fashion will be given the opportunity to put their cash to good use. The Hollywood Studio Collection's annual studio sample sale will take place from October 10th-12th at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and will feature wardrobe pieces from films both recent and classic.
The deal gets even sweeter, though. In a one-time only offer, James Ronald Whitney, Emmy-winning producer and President of The Hollywood Studio Collection, is opening up the collection to the public! All of the items are rare and most are one-of-a-kind, yet some items are being sold for as little as $10!
In a fun twist, while items were used in such feature films as Star Trek, Demolition Man, The Last Samurai, and The Matrix, all of the items are being sold as "unidentified." In other words, while all of the items are pulled from famed films, there will be no indication at the sale what movie a given item is from, or who wore it.
Whitney says, "This is part of the excitement. For the first time ever, both the fans and the general public can play researcher. Maybe they'll find a dress shirt worn by Tom Cruise in the infamous scene in Risky Business, or the sneakers Kevin Bacon debuted in Footloose. The thrill is to purchase an item at a great price, only to later discover that it's worth significantly more."
Sounds good to us!
As if this weren't already cool enough, the deal gets even better: a portion of all proceeds will benefit Childhelp, a worldwide leader in child advocacy, giving help and support to victims of child abuse and neglect, as well as various other child advocacy charities in need of funding.
John Reid, Executive Director of Childhelp, said "We are very grateful for the continuing support of Mr. Whitney and The Hollywood Studio Collection. Through wonderful organizations such as this, Childhelp can continue to help many victims of child abuse and neglect."
The wardrobe sale will be held October 10th-12th from 10:00am to 10:00pm in the Oscar Room at the Hollywood Roosevelt. Admission is only $5, and patrons who spend $15 or more will receive refund of admission cost or parking validation.
