In all our collective disbelief that Emanuel Ungaro CEO Mounir Mouffarige enlisted Lindsay Lohan to be the artistic advisor for the label, it seems we've all forgotten one very large fact: Lindsay is not, in fact, the designer (though it seems she missed that memo). She is only the "advisor," to the designer, who, as we've mentioned, is Barcelona-native Estrella Archs.
The head designer has worked for the likes of Nina Ricci, Emilio Pucci, Miucca Prada, and Hussein Chalayan. That's quite a resume!
We're getting a little worried that with all the attention surrounding the LiLo involvement, if the collection, which Archs describes as "Mediterranean," turns out well, Linds will receive (and gladly take) all the credit. All she probably did was chain smoke in visit the boutique once or twice and capitalize on the free clothes.
At this point, it's pretty clear that Mouffarige didn't bring her on board for her fashion prowess, he picked her because he knew it would get a lot of attention and it did. We're sure it didn't hurt that she wears designer clothes, but the 23-year-old looks like an aged Pam Anderson, dresses like Sharon Stone, and has the work ethic of, well, Lindsay Lohan.
We can't help but wonder what Archs must think about all the attention that Lindsay is getting for this.
Talk to us, Estrella! What's on your mind??
