Lindsay And Estrella's Ungaro Collection Sucks!

The highly anticipated Emanuel Ungaro collection for which Lindsay Lohan served as a creative director debuted yesterday at Paris Fashion Week. Designed by Ungaro head designer Estrella Archs, the collection was a smattering of pinks and hearts. In fact, the team went so far as to put heart shaped pasties on the nipples (and sometimes foreheads) of the models.

Of the heart shaped nipple covers, Lindsay said, "It's not good to show your nipples, so they should be covered." We agree with that, but can't you just keep them covered up by the clothes that you're wearing? Pasties are supposed to conceal nipples through a thin shirt, they're not supposed to replace it!

Not surprisingly, the collection has not been well recieved. WWD wrote:

"As for the clothes, they looked cheesy and dated, as has often been the case chez Ungaro during the post-Emanuel revolving door of designers. Hot pink, orange and flashy, with an overworked heart motif relentless in its execution, the collection displayed none of the promised younger side Lohan was supposed to deliver. Nor in a million years would one guess that the lineup was designed by one young woman and “creative directed” by another. Glitter heart pasties all around, ladies?"

Ouch!

We can't say we disagree. Wonder what Ungaro CEO Mounir Mouffarige has to say about all this!
