Protective Lip Gloss (And No, We Don't Mean SPF)

The British cosmetics company 2 Love My Lips has just released a line of lip glosses which aims to make your lips kissable - but only with consent. The gloss, which costs about $16, comes with a card that detects GHB and Ketamine in drinks so that women may test their beverages to avoid date rape.

Interesting! It's definitely a novel concept, marketing date rape drug indicators with lip gloss, but it make sense, now that we think of it. A girl would normally bring along lip gloss on a night out, or on a date, and so why not couple it with a way to ensure that that night will end safely. It's almost perfect!

Almost.

The tester does not, however, work on beverages with certain fruit juices, milk, oily liquers, or tonic water. Those are a lot of mixers to cross of the list! We also wonder if the card is limited to one use, which would be pretty lame.
