American Apparel Lies About Hooking Up With Big Bird

Liar, liar Dov Charney's pants are on fire! And it's not because of an STD contracted from one of his sex worker employees!

We knew something seems a little odd when news broke that Sesame Street would be pairing up with a company like American Apparel that reeks of dirty sex.

And we were right!

The only thing true about their press release is that they're producing t-shirts with Sesame Street characters.

A source from Sesame Street has come forward to reveal the truth behind the so called "collaboration":

As you may know, we are a nonprofit education organization that produces Sesame Street and we license to manufacturing companies the rights to make products using our characters. In this case, our licensee is a manufacturing company called Mighty Fine and they manufacture a line of Sesame Street shirts which are sold at American Apparel stores.

We do not have a direct relationship with American Apparel and we did not approve the press release that was issued by American Apparel.

That means Sesame Street DID NOT reach out to the clothing company and present them with their complete catalog of graphics, rather it was a manufacturing company.

Why lie about something silly like that? Or maybe they knew they'd get more press on the project by saying the childrenz TV show was the one who contacted them?

Probably.
