Following in the footsteps of Gap, Salvatore Ferragamo has added an online store to the company's website.
Orders are already being taken from Italy and the UK and will expand to other markets including the United States in the next few months. Maybe in time for the holidays???
Ferragamo, like other companies, hopes that an increase in online presence will translate to an increase sale$$$.
In addition to an online store, the luxury shoe line has also launched a new site for the Ferragamo museum, which includes a new contest for designers looking to break into the shoe biz.
Sounds a lot better than trying to create another fashion social network! Who would want to look at picture of people's shoes anyway?
