Why is blackface suddenly popping up all over the place?
Last month French Vogue featured model Laura Stone painted brown in an eyebrow raising spread. Now, V Magazine has perpetuated the trend, painting a white model dark in a high contrast photo.
Why not just hire a black model?? This only contributes to the problem that ethnic models are seeing less work than white models. Naomi Campbell seems to be on to something when she says that the fashion industry is racist!
We're not fans of blackface. We get the whole shock value, but the implications of their use of blackface run much deeper than just a racy photoshoot. For shame!
Are you offended by the blackface??
