Gucci Gets Technical

Ages ago, we told you about Mark Ronson's collaboration with Gucci to create a collection of sneakers, and the music and pop-up shops that would accompany the range.

Now, Ronson and Gucci creative director Frida Giannini have added another fun element to the partnership; coinciding with the launch of Gucci's iPhone application, one pair of the shoes from the collection will be available through iPhone or iPod Touch exclusively.

The new (and free!) iPhone app isn't just good for buying the sneaks, though. Through the application, a user can listen to playlists by Ronson and Giannini, check out the Gucci Music Channel, and peruse the Gucci Little Black Book, which offers "the best-of information for hotels, restaurants, bars, and clubs in more than 20 major cities around the world. Also included in this section is a list of Giannini's own favorite spots around the world."

And, making the whole deal even sweeter, the Gucci Ronson sneakers come with a 12" vinyl featuring tracks handpicked by Ronson himself.

How fun!
