Is Donatella Leaving Versace?

Maybe, if she sees it's in the company's best interest.

Ever since the death of Gianni's the fashion house has pretty much been a mess. Many believe that having Donatella Versace and brother Santo around is keeping the brand from going forward. Without them around, Versace may have a chance to earn the $1 billion in sales like it use to!

Newsweek recently featured an article on the fashion house's future saying:

Many in the fashion industry believe it's time for the brand to continue without Versace family involvement—and some suggest that the family is starting to accept this idea too. Last year, Santo was elected to the Italian Parliament. Allegra has been attending Brown University and has said her dream is to become an actress. And will Donatella remain at the helm? "Maybe," says the former Versace executive. "Then again, maybe not." Which, after a decade of turmoil, may be the best thing for the company after all.

And it probably didn't help that Donatella wasn't willing to cut back on her expen$ive lifestyle which caused the now ex-CEO to leave earlier this year.

We have a hard time imagining her giving up the Versace ca$h cow, but if Donatella does leave, we'll sure miss her overly tan and bleached body!
