If you had a $10 million dollar yacht for sale, we're guessing you wouldn't put it up on Craigslist or the "poor man's" eBay, which is why there is Billionairexchange.com.
Co-founder Quintin Thompson explains the necessity of the new site saying:
"Our target is the affluent to the ultra-affluent. Right now, there is no trusted platform to facilitate transactions at this level. If a $30 lamp doesn't show up, you're not going to be too crushed, but a $50,000 watch is a different story. If you sell a Hermes bag at a flea market, you're not going to get 30 grand, but here you may."
Wouldn't it be nice to piss away $30K on an Hermes bag!?
But the idea seems to be working. Those with a large bankroll are signing up in the masses! Thompson says 26,000 multimillionaires and a dozen or so billionaires have signed up!
Thompson also claims to have facilitated $180 MILLION in sales and gets up to collect a 5% fee for each transaction.
After hearing that we're sure Millionaire Matchmaker's Patti Stanger will be hitting you up to score some clients!
