Ashlee Wants To Tarnish Yet Another Industry

These days it seems like designing has become the fallback for actresses whose careers have hit a plateau.

We've seen this over and over, and now we see it yet again: Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has recently decided that she would like to launch her own fashion line. This all comes on the heels of Ash's being "let go," from Melrose Place after just twelve episodes. Which followed her fledgling (and now non-existant?) music career.

One souce said, "Ashlee wants to start a clothing line. She wants it to be both preppy and punk rock. She thinks she can really succeed in fashion."

Yeah, she also thought she could "really succeed," in music and acting!

Also, aren't "preppy," and "punk rock," mutually exclusive by nature?

We hate that she would even consider trying to call herself a designer since we bet she can't even sew a stich, but given her career track record, we feel confident that we have nothing to worry about. She'll pump out some crap line, it will be torn apart by critics, and then she'll continue her slow and steady drift into obscurity.

Still, we wish she would quit while she's ahead and stick to babysitting Pete Wentz little Bronx!
