Kate Moss is adding another fragrance to her ever-growing namesake collection.

The newest fragrance, Vintage, follows her first fragrance, Kate, which was released in 2007, the second scent, Velvet Hour, which was released in 2008, and Kate Summer Time, a limited edition fragrance which launched in March. Of her collection, Kate said,

“I want to know what goes on behind the scenes, as well, and how to be successful at that part of the industry. I've got some good teachers…. It’s fun for me. I still model, and I enjoy doing that, as well. Working on the creative process is really interesting for me because I do know what I like, so it’s fun for me to realize that it becomes part of you. It’s not just putting your name on something; it’s about being very involved in it."

With the supermodel's name recognition and solid track record, it comes as no surprise that she has enjoyed such success in the fragrance realm. Stephen Mormoris, SVP of global marketing for Coty Beauty (which holds Moss's fragrance license) said that Moss's fragrance portfolio generates about $100 million annually. Still, he says, "We believe Vintage will be the biggest Kate Moss fragrance, as it touches what Kate is all about."

The inspiration for the new fragrance is the supermodel's love for vintage fashion. She explains, “I couldn’t really afford designer clothes when I was young, so I just went to secondhand shops. It wasn’t called vintage then, it was called ‘secondhand’ when I was 15.”

In this vein, she created the bottle drawing on her appreciation of Art Deco design, and the color of the bottle is inspired by Moss's favorite vintage ring.

The ad campaign, shot by the great Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, similarly tries to hone that vintage feel. "The imagery is modern, but it's vintage…Everything I'm wearing, apart from maybe the shoes, is vintage," says Moss.

The fragrance itself is a "fruity floriental," with top notes of pink pepper, white freesia and mandarin, core scents of heliotrope, jasmine and almon flower, and bottom notes of tonka bean, vanilla and skin musks. Interesting!

The fragrance is available for prices ranging from $23 for 15mil, $40 for 30ml and $53 for 50ml.

We're very curious to catch a whiff!
