Lauren Conrad To Release Style Guide

No one can say the girl doesn't work!

We have to admit, we were a little bit surprised when Lauren Conrad's first book, L.A. Candy, hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. We were just shocked people would turn out in droves to read LC's fictional spin on her "reality" documented life!

What we don't find surprising, though, is that the former Hills star is now capitalizing on her best-selling status. Logically, she is releasing her second novel, a follow-up called Sweet Little Lies, on February 2, 2010. LC is branching out as well, though, extending her literary presence to the non-fiction realm: expected to hit the presses by fall 2010, LC is writing a style guide called Lauren Conrad Style (clever) which will give pointers on how to (you guessed it) have style.

In a press release, Lauren said, "I am really excited to write a style guide. I think fashion should be fun and reflective of who you are. When you wear clothes you feel good in, it shows in everything you do. I know this guide will offer simple, practical tips to help anyone look fabulous."

We probably won't read it, but we have to say, it's a smart move. Strike while the iron is hot!
