Sarah Jessica Parker looked surprisingly casual on Monday night at the New York premiere of Did you Hear About The Morgans?
While we sort of wish she had upped the fashion factor - no one can rock fashion-forward like SJP - we do like her outfit.
The style icon wore a cute but simple black chiffon dress on the red carpet. It's definitely not over the top, but we also have a feeling that it didn't photograph well, and was probably more striking in person. Her hair and makeup is pretty, but nothing particularly special. Thankfully, sister did not let us down in the shoe department, rocking a gorgeous pair of Nicholas Kirkwood open-toe "Web" slingback in plack python, patent leather, and lizard.

In case you didn't know, Kirkwood is a rising star in the shoe world: his footwear sells at Harrods and Harvey Nichols and he has an ongoing collaboration with Laura and Kate Mulleavy, of Rodarte.
Now that the SJP spotlight has hit him, we're sure his star is about to get a lot brighter!
