Catherine Zeta Jones Hates Cute, Defenseless Animals

Rihanna, Kate Moss, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Elizabeth Hurley are dangerously close to making PETA's worst dressed list this year. The "winner," (or loser, depending how you look at it) will be announced in February by anti-fur designer Stella McCartney.

That's gotta be pretty embarrassing!

The list is probably one of PETA's most effective tactics - after Paris Hilton and Christina Ricci made the list last year, both stopped wearing fur, and Christina spoke out, saying:

"I never meant to hurt nor anger anyone with my insensitivity. For what it's worth, I have received the message loud and clear and will not be wearing fur in the future. I apologize for my offensive actions."

Yikes!

Apparently, Moss dons fur coats, sealskin boots, rabbit-skin bedspreads, and sheepskin rugs, while Hurley is in contention for having posed in a campaign for fur company Blackglama. But PETA vice president Dan Mathews says:

"Among the most vulgar offenders this year is Catherine Zeta Jones, who can't seem to leave her room in New York without covering herself head to toe in the dried-out skins of several species - not just fur coats but leather pants and crocodile bags. She looks more like a serial killer than a star."

Ouch!

Hope the ladies shape up - fur is just downright ruthless!
