We now have sketches and details on Lindsay Lohan's eloquently announced brand expansion for her leggings line 6126.
DNAM Apparel has taken 6126 under its wing to manufacture the new full collection of clothing.
Kristi Kaylor, principal in 6126 LLC, reveals:
"We've had amazing success with the leggings line. We have a great business with Neiman Marcus and several hundred great specialty stores. [DNAM Apparel] was the perfect partner to work with 6126 and grow it was a lifestyle brand. We're launching the full clothing collection next year, and a cosmetics line, handbags, shoes, jewelry in spring 2011."
The fall 2010 apparel line will include 100 pieces, made from Modal, lace, cashmere and leather. The collection will retail at high-end department stores such as Neiman Marcus and Harrods, with average retail price points ranging from $100 and $150, compared to the leggings collection which currently retails from $68 to $120.
Kaylor added:
"It'll be a young contemporary price point with contemporary styling. We're conscious of it in the sense that we have great price points and quality products. The vision is to offer customers something that they don't have in the marketplace today, items that go back with leggings: blazers, dresses, and tops."
Hmm. We're not sure that blazers, dresses, or tops are something that customers are missing in the marketplace today.
Kaylor insisted that Linds has been very involved, saying that "She's not a celebrity who lends her name to a brand. She's intimately involved from day one. She picks fabrics. She looks at trims. She picks buttons. She doesn't let anything go into production without trying it on."
Sure.
The sketches look cute enough. Can't wait to see if the finished products are good as well.
What do U think?
