The Golden Globes is really spoiling its guests this year!

Each attendee will receive a gift bag valued at $500: women will be given a Dooney and Bourke bag with Calvin Klein's Euphoria perfume, L'Oreal cosmetics, and InStyle's The Secrets of Style. Men, on the other hand, will receive a Tumi duffel bag packed with Euphoria for men, custom Alexander West shirts, and a book on style for gentleman. Every bag will contain a Martin Scorcese-directed DVD.

That sounds pretty good! We're sort of surprised that all that adds up to $500 though - seems like the bag itself is worth more than its contents. Also, we're curious as to how they're planning to give each male guest his own custom shirt, but that's a pretty damn cool gift!

Sources are also reporting that in another move to give each presenter the star treatment, the Globes committee has organized a "special" room, essentially a jazzed up dressing room, where presenters can have their makeup retouched and drink champagne before heading on stage.

At first, it sounds pretty standard, but this is ain't your average dressing room: dubbed the Presenter's Lounge, the room is furnished with $500,000 worth of decor, and its walls are covered in $3 million worth of artwork.

Is that really necessary? Each presenter will probably be in the room for what, 15 minutes tops? Seems kind of a like a waste of money, especially in light of other, more deserving ways to spend green right now.

Renown interior designer Kenneth Bordewick said, "I wanted to combine the glamor of old Hollywood with the contemporary glitter of today."

That's nice, but couldn't you do it for a little cheaper than $3,500,000??

The Golden Globes take place this Sunday in Los Angeles.
