This is very intriguing!

Fashion house Maison Martin Margiela is launching its first ever fragrance, Untitled. Don't jump to judge the name as boring, though: the fragrance gained its title in a nod to Margiela's famously secretive and unassuming ways.

While Margiela himself actually retired from the company back in December, the designer was reportedly very involved with the scent's development in his final hours with the company. In an attempt to create a fragrance that speaks for itself, Margiela and team opted not to overdo it with packaging and aesthetics, and instead churned out a simple but striking unisex scent noted with galbanum, bitter orange, inscense, jasmine and cedar.

The new fragrance is available today at Collete in France, and will be coming to Maison Martin Margiela boutiques and select department stores Stateside beginning in March.

We have to say, we're very interested to catch a whiff. We'd love to see how the avante garde genius translates to aroma!
