Years ago, before the first Twilight installment had even finished filming, one wardrobe stylist for the soon-to-be blockbuster unintentionally changed life for the folks over at clothing company BB Dakota.

After being instructed to pick a "colorful cover-up" for Kristen Stewart's character, Bella, to wear during a heartfelt forest scene with Robert Pattinson's Edward, the film's stylist picked out a pretty, blue cotton canvas jacket from Nordstrom Rack, thinking nothing of it.

The jacket didn't make a huge difference to the film, but the film definitely made a world of difference for the jacket: after the film became a pop cultural phenomenon, teenage girls across the country demanded the cute, $70 BB Dakota coat.

Making the connection almost immediately, BB Dakota re-released the jacket last year under the new name, the Twilight jacket. Now, the company is designing a entire collection around the jacket for fall, comprised of plaid shirts, skinny cords and hoodies.

Lucky ducks!

Twilight gave the brand it's big break, shining light on the label, which offers fashionable and affordable duds.

Congrats!
