In a recent interview with Nylon Magazine, Nathalie Rykiel, Creative Director and daughter to Sonia Rykiel, let the cat out of the bag as to why they partnered with fast fashion chain H&M.

Nathalie reveals: "They copy me all the time! Finally I said, "Look, if you want your girls to wear Sonia Rykiel from H&M, let's let them have the real thing!"

Ha! Wonder how awkward that was for H&M.

Now if only other companies would to ask the same thing.

Yes, we're looking at you Steve Madden, Forever 21 & Lindsay Lohan.
