Madonna Sued Over New Material Girl Clothing Line!

That didn't take long!

A lawsuit has been filed by LA Triumph claiming Madonna and her Material Girl clothing line have no right to use their trademark.

O RLY?

According to LA Triumph's lawyer:

"Our client and its predecessor have been continually selling similar clothes in similar retail outlets at similar price points under their Material Girl brand since at least 1997 and Madonna and her newfound company do not have the right to trade in the same space under this brand. As a result of their acts, our client faces a risk of being subsumed by Madonna's profile, obvious worldwide notoriety and the massive spending campaign by Madonna, her company and retailers on her behalf."

The lawsuit also says Madge's line "has confused and is likely to confuse the public and cause deception and mistake among the consuming public".

Ha! We don't think that's going to be a problem.

LA Triumph is asking for all the profits Material Girl has made and for the line's name to be changed.

Yeah, good luck with that one.
