When Johnny D Met Vanessa Paradis

Even though they've been together for 14 years, Johnny Depp says it still feels like he met Chanel muse Vanessa Paradis just yesterday.

He says it all went down at a dinner party at the Hotel Costes on Rue Saint-Honoré on the Right Bank:

"She was wearing a dress with an exposed back and I saw that back and that neck, and then she turned around and I saw those eyes, and — boom! My life as a single man was done. You have this feeling — I can’t really explain what it was, but I had it when I met her. I saw her across a room and thought: “What’s happening to me?”

And the rest, as they say, is history.
