How Much Does Kim Kardashian Donate To Charity?

More bad news for Kim Kardashian today.

Aside from Old Navy investigating her reputation, it seems Kim’s being called out for her supposed charity work.

Celebrities often hold events or auctions stating that proceeds are going to charity, but unless they state that all proceeds are going to charity, don’t assume it to be the case.

An industry insider reveals:

“Many times the public assumes that all the proceeds go to charity and not the celebrity. But that is often not the case. The public should never assume that 100 percent goes to charity.”

Kim does do a lot of charity though. She’s even been selling several of her items via eBay for years sending proceeds to the Dream Foundation which grants wishes for terminally ill adults.

However, it’s now been pointed out that only 10% of those proceeds are going to charity. That’s the minimum amount required by eBay’s “Giving Works” department. Occasionally she'll donate 25% from some of her items.

An insider supporting Kim reveals the Kardashians:

“Strongly believe that every little bit counts and there have been many instances where they have privately donated the whole sum of an earning to a charity, and they would like to continue to do some of these things privately.”

A rep for the Dream Foundation adds:

“Kim has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Dream Foundation, and more importantly, has always made herself available on a personal level to hold the hand of a dream recipient battling terminal illness. Regarding the online auctions, 10 percent is significant when considering the number of dreams that have been fulfilled as a result, and we are grateful for Kim's loyal support.”

Percentage aside, we’ll admit we’re still impressed she’s donating to charity. No one is forcing her to donate, so donating anything, even 1%, is still a good deed!
