Dolce & Gabbana finally gave in to protesters and apologized for banning photography in front of their Hong Kong store — but do they mean it?

A statement was released on Wednesday, just days before one of the busiest shopping seasons: Chinese New Year. How convenient.

The statement reads:

"We understand that the events which unfolded in front of the Dolce & Gabbana boutique on Canton Road have offended the citizens of Hong Kong, and for this we are truly sorry and we apologise. The Dolce & Gabbana policy is to welcome the Hong Kong people and that of the whole world respecting the rights of each individual and of the local laws."

Kind of a half-assed apology if you ask us. Instead of saying they were completely in the wrong, they pussyfoot around the issue.

What do U think? Is D&G's apology genuine or not???
