Marc Jacobs Sues Christian Audigier!

Turns out Christian Audigier is getting hauled to court by Marc Jacobs over trademark infringement and trade dress over purse designs.

Marc claims Audigier is selling tote bags that "bear trade dress that unlawfully copies or imitates Plantiffs' unique, distinctive and non-functional Marc Jacobs Pretty Nylon Tote Trade Dress and/or that unlawfully bear marks confusingly similar to the Marc Jacobs Scrambled Trademark".

Whew, what a mouthful!

Jacobs currently has a pending application for the Pretty Nylon tote for the Marc Jacobs scrambled trademark that's on the inside lining.

To add insult to injury, Marc is also suing for unfair competition.

Looks like Marc is taking the rhinestone-loving Audigier to the cleaners!

Jimmy Choo's Going Flat!

We've got good news and bad news.

The good news: Jimmy Choo will soon be selling sneakers!

The bad news: they're going to cost just as much as heels.

The $625 high-tops will hit shelves in May and will feature gold eyelets, exotic skins and star-print soles.

Grazia's associate fashion director said of the new kicks "Yes, these are a welcome relief for feet, but it isn’t just about feeling comfortable. Fashion is in love with all things Nineties, so it makes sense that high-top is having a moment again.”

We think they should do a more affordable version for H&M!

ALT Joins ANTM

As we mentioned previously, Andre Leon Talley will be joining the panel of judges on America's Next Top Model.

Vogue's Editor at Large, will be taking Miss J. Alexander's spot on the panel, while he will take over his original role as the contestants runway coach.

Talley will make his judging debut on the show's 14th cycle starting March 10th, but was originally approached by Tyra Banks 8 years ago, but didn't take the gig. He explains: "At that point, I said no because it was the beginning. I was thinking I wanted to see where it goes."

That's a nice way of saying he wanted to make sure it wasn't a ratings bomb.

And while he's never seen a single episode of the show, he has signed on for 3 seasons:

I felt maybe I could contribute something to it that had not been on the show. I just felt that it was a way to step out of the box and associate myself with a very important American success story, a very important brand — Tyra Banks."

Tyra hopes Andre will take the show in a more high-fashion direction, meaning she actually wants a winner to become a real Top Model.

The Queen of Smize says:

"André speaks about fashion and he has such a passion, and the words — the adverbs, the adjectives — he uses! I know it’s going to make the viewer at home go, ‘Wowww.’” It might go over their head, but he’s educating them about a time, bringing them back to a place when fashion was life."

At least the deliberation will be a little more inneresting.

Will U be tuning in???

Get Geek Chic With Google!

voguet-shirt_e.jpg voguescarf_e.jpg voguenecklace_e.jpg

It was only a matter of time.

Back in October, Vogue and the Council of Fashion Designers of America sponsored their annual Fashion Fund that supports emerging designers by giving them the task to create a Google inspired design.

And this is what they came up with!

The search engine selected their three favorite designs and have made them available for debuted on Friday and are available for purchase on the Google purchase. for a limited time. The items include a scarf, a t-shirt and necklace.

But just because it's Google, don't think you'll get bargain prices. The emerging artists works are going between $85 for the shirts and $300 for the scarf!

You gotta be one Google obsessed nerd to fork over that amount of money!

Do U think they're worth that price tag???
