Adam Levine Gives His Two Scents On New Fragrance

Adam Levine is quite the multi-tasker: Maroon 5 frontman, adult ADHD medication rep, The Voice host, avid twitterer, perhaps the newest cast member of American Horror Story, and now…scent maker!!

We recently posted how Adam's The Voice co-host Xtina teased Levine for his hypocritical stance on celebrity fragrances and now he's defending his change of heart smell.

Adam says about his complete 180:

"People do this to make money, I’m not going to lie to you…Obviously, there’s a financial part to this as well. But there are other things that come into play, too, and I’m not just going to sign off on something if I don’t love it. I want to tailor it to me as much as humanly possible.” Levine loves “architectural, very basic craftsmanship — simple and elegant. This will reflect that, absolutely.”

222 by Adam Levine will hopefully be available May 2013, but he's not stopping there!

He plans on creating a set - one for males, one for females:

“The occasional anomaly aside, men and women are too different…So we’re going with men’s and women’s scents…They’ll be the scents of greatness.”

We can't help but wonder what Adam's "greatness" smell like. Ha!

Christina Aguilera Teases Adam Levine For Joining The Fragrance Fam

How are we not surprised??

Last year, Adam Levine tweeted his disdain for celebrity fragrances, saying he wished there was a ban on it.

But as we discussed earlier, the Maroon 5 frontman has changed his tune!! He's now creating his own fragrance — 222 by Adam Levine.

And who better to give him crap over it than his Voice co-star Christina Aguilera??

Adam Levine is paving his way in the beauty business by working on a new fragrance to be released May 2013.

The Voice judge will offer the fragrance for both men and women. He plans on naming his creation

Adam Levine & Anne V Might Have Called It Quits

Adam Levine's love has taken its toll on Anne V and she's said goodbye…according to reports.

Sources tell the New York Post the couple of two years called it quits last month and apparently the Maroon 5 front man is taking it pretty hard. Over the weekend Adam was pAArtying solo at a Super Bowl party where a spywitness says "he wasn’t hitting on any girls, he was just really heartbroken".

That might explain why the two haven't been photographed together since the NBC Universal Winter party in January and why Adam was dateless at the Golden Globes, however Levine's rep insists the claims are not true.
