Anna Doesn't Do Stairs Either!

What is with all these divas not wanting to walk up a couple flights of stairs?

First it was Naomi Campbell, and now a new story has come out saying Anna Wintour doesn't do them either!

In Tim Gunn's new book Gunn's Golden Rules, the Project Runway mentor describes a time when Vogue's editor-in-chief pulled an even more diva move than Naomi at Peter Som's fashion show in 2006.

Tim dishes:

"I was with a colleague from Parsons, and we had been discussing the will-she-or-won't-she-take-the-elevator question, so we ran over to the elevator bay to see if Anna would deign to get on. She wasn't there. Then we looked over the stairway railing. And what did we see but Anna being carried down the stairs. The bodyguards had made a fireman's lock and were racing her from landing to landing. She was sitting on their crossed arms.

I ran to the window to see if they would put her down on the sidewalk or carry her to the car like that. They carried her to the car. And I thought: I will never for get this."

Wow. We wish he got a picture of that!

Gunn also spills the deets on Andre Leon Talley's diva-tude behavior at a New York Public Library panel discussion with photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders and Martha Nelson editor of People.

He divulges:

"When we return to the green room, we see that someone has spread a translucent barber's bib over Andre and he's reclining, his arms at his sides. He's being fed grapes and cubes of cheese one by one, like a bird in a nest."

Ha!

Of course Vogue is quick to deny both of Tim's claims saying "Tim Gunn has a very vivid imagination. There is no truth to any of this."

Suuuuure.

Isabella Blow Film In The Works

Now this sounds like quite the fashionable film.

Hat maker extraordinaire Philip Treacy has confirmed that a film about fashion icon Isabella Blow has been greenlighted.

Andre Leon Talley, who is a friend to Treacy and Blow when she was alive, dished:

"We had not hugged since Isabella Blow's funeral three years ago, and he shared fabulous news: He has a producer to do a film on Isabella, and Galliano has already confirmed to play himself. Who will play Isabella? Treacy has a great trick up his hat, and it's going to rock the world, but he cannot reveal it until this major new talent confirms."

Exciting!

We can't wait to see who will play Isabella.

But we have to ask, who will play Alexander McQueen? Although ALT didn't mention that detail, we can only assume McQueen would be featured in the flick considering how close he and Isabella were.

Tyra Pays Tribute To McQueen

Now that Tyra Banks has re-signed with her modeling agency, what better way to celebrate than with a photo shoot paying homage to Alexander McQueen?

The Queen of Smize posted these pictures on her website, saying:

McQueen was considered royalty in the fashion community. I feel like a queen whenever I wear his clothes (especially the stunning blue dress I wore for this shoot)! I hope that you like the royal tribute that André and I (and lil' Gianni too!) put together for him! It’s old royal fashion meets new royal looks designed by fashion royalty. McQueen had a flare for the dramatic and a love for fantasy. I would like to think that he would have loved these photos.

ALT Talks The Future Of ANTM & Broadway!

Last week Andre Leon Talley's first stint as a judge came to and end, but don't worry he'll be back!

As we previously mentioned, ALT signed on for 3 seasons of dreckitude and Tyra craziness.

But what happens after that?

ALT has aspirations of making it big on Broadway! Or he'd even settle for an off-Broadway gig. He dished during FIT's Fashion Culture series that he's been hard at work for years on a one-man show.

We're sure Andre would be HIGHlarious on a stage!
