Cameron Diaz's Short Haircut Made Her "Burst Into Tears"

Cameron Diaz had a bad hair day to end all bad hair days when she chopped off her blonde tresses in December.

The What To Expect When You’re Expecting star confessed to Jay Leno on Tuesday night:

"[My hairstylist] was leaving to go away for Christmas with her family, it was 10:00 at night and we were trying to just get it in. There was a little misunderstanding. I said I just want a little bit cut off and it went from here to here. I just burst into tears and started crying, and I felt so vulnerable. For a woman to all of a sudden have no hair…oh my god!"

Keep in mind the whole meltdown took place in Cameron's hairstylist's own kitchen!

Wow. To be a fly on the wall!

After many many tears were shed, Diaz realized it was only hair:

"I ended up writing her a few emails after, the next couple days, assuring her I wasn’t going to kill her."

Well if it’s any consolation, the actress is looking the best we’ve seen in a reallllllly long time on the June cover of British Harper's Bazaar!

We’re loving the hair and the pop of color on the lips, but it’s the toned arms that really make a statement.

On what she loves about being an actress:

"What I love about movies is how many people they can reach. I don't make a movie because I think, this is something I want to say. I just want people to laugh, to cry, to feel."

"Good friendship is basic: Be good to one another, be thoughtful, enrich one another's lives. I learn so much from my girlfriends, and I love it."
