Venezuelan designer Carolina Herrera has made quite the name for herself in the fashion industry.
Over the years, Carolina has not only become a red carpet favorite, but she's also had the pleasure of dressing celebs like Renee Zellweger and fashion icon Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. She explains:
"I've worked with so many amazing women - I've been dressing Renée for 10 years now. What these stylish women all have in common is the knowledge of what looks well on them; the knowledge of herself. The influence of Jackie's style can still be seen now on the catwalks, every designer shows a look inspired by her. She was very classic, but with a modern twist. I love Cate Blanchett's style too - and Kristin Scott Thomas - they are both so chic."
And even though she's 71 years old, the designer shows no signs of stopping. She recently opened up her first ever store in the UK, CH by Carolina Herrera, which includes childrenswear that was designed by her daughter.
Keep up the good work Miz Herrera!

Beautiful!
The always classy Carolina Herrera debuted her Fall 2010 collection on Monday during New York Fashion Week and keeping in true Carolina fashion, the looks were classic and elegant.
The designer mixed bold bright prints that are sure to stick out on the red carpet and also incorporated some fur coats for the cooler months.

Preggers actress Amy Adams won't be shopping for Heidi Klum or Nicole Richie's maternity lines because Carolina Herrera is making custom maternity wear for her.
The designer has been busy reworking pieces from her current collections to fit the mommy-to-be.
Amy, who is currently promoting her new film Leap Year says "They made my clothes for the entire press tour. They're amazing. They did such a great job."
Lucky girl!

Carolina's not too good for Target!
Unlike Giuseppe Zanotti and Christian Louboutin, Carolina Herrera has no qualms about creating a diffusion line.
When asked if she would consider creating a line for Target, she emphatically responded "Of course! If they asked me, of course."
She would not, however, do a line for HSN or QVC, noting that "Isaac Mizrahi is a natural actor; he can be on television. Not many designers can do it, but he can."
We bet you could too! But we like the idea of you desiging for Target or H&M better. Let's hope the bigwigs over at the discount retailers take the bait!
