Not one to succumb to subtleties, Karl Lagerfeld had his team build a life-size airplane to showcase Chanel's haute couture show of Spring/Summer 2012.
Definitely one of the most talked about shows of Paris Fashion Week, the new styles of Chanel are to sure to make any Pan Am lover with money very excited.
The more extravagant pieces, shown later in the show, remind us somewhat of Moulin Rouge — glitzy, sexy, one of a kind.
We love how Karl makes his appearance at the end — very true to form!! We'd tell you but we don't want to spoil anything for you.

Julia Stiles attended the New York premiere of W.E. at the Ziegfeld Theatre last night in NYC.
For the red carpet event, Julia wore a mello flared waist blazer and black trouser pants with the tuxedo stripe from alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet.
Julia finished off her look with some red and black stilettos and a purple Chanel purse.
We're not loving the red shoes with purple purse combination, but she does get credit for being bold and trying out something different.

On Saturday night the actress was in Las Vegas for the opening night of Chanel's new Numéros Privés exhibit almost dressed in head to toe Chanel.
Jessica's ensemble included a black and white dress silk dress from the Chanel Cruise collection, matching black ceramic and diamond Chanel Fine Jewelry, a Chanel quilted clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti bow peep-toe heels.
This is probably the chicest we've ever seen Miz Alba. Kudos, Mr. Goreski!
