Mischa Barton Takes Her Clothing Line To Dubai

Filed Under: Fashion Smashion Mischa Barton Collection's Bureau

Mischa Barton's collection is going international!

Her clothing line, which she debuted back in March, is now taking on Dubai. The actress launched the line Wednesday night with her collaborator and mother, Nuala, in the Dubai Mall's Rivaage Boutique.

Mischa's line features feminine dresses, vintage skirts, cardigans, jumpsuits, leggings, and even some of her signature pieces like the Mischa jacket that will retail between $45 and $450.

When describing her line, she said:

"It’s for women ranging from 15 to 35. There are different pieces that will appeal to different styles, but the main thing is I wanted it to feel functional and easy to wear. My sister, who’s a barrister in London, even wears a lot of it."

As we mentioned before, Mischa plans to extend her fashion repertoire by designing a 1,000 square-foot store, which will have a "vintage feel," in London next month.

But, don't worry. This doesn't mean that Mischa will be giving up acting. Doing the fashion line "gives me an opportunity to take out my creative energies."

So, there you have it.

Dita Von Teese Poses For LA Weekly

Filed Under: Fashion Smashion Australiastic Love Line Kylie Minogue Dita Von Teese Collection's Bureau Target Spread 'Em Fragranz!

main-dita-von-teese-how-she-became-the-most-famous-stripper-in-america-la-weekly.jpg

LA Weekly got up close and personal with the most famous stripper in America, Dita Von Teese!

In her gorgeous feature, the burlesque superstar talks about going from a stripper named Heather Sweet to full fledged mogul.

Here are some HIGHlights:

On becoming a fully topless stripper at 20:

"Many of the girls didn't want to take off their tops. So the club gave them the choice. You can either be a topless girl or a non-topless girl. You can't just take your top off whenever you want. You're either one or the other. If you're gonna take your top off one time, you have to take it off all the time. You can't just use it as some way to make money. You have to decide this is what you want to do.

On performing for celebrities:

"Sometimes I'll say, 'Oh God, Kylie Minogue's in the audience.' And she does a beautiful, amazing show and she's a good dancer and she can sing. I'm gonna get up there and lip-synch and do my little dance, and I'm not her. I'm not a pop star."

On being a fashionista with over 400 shoes who dresses to the nines - even at the supermarket.

"Because you never know who you're going to run into. You never know who you're going to meet."

On the inspiration to create her larger than life persona:

"I'm an ordinary blond girl from a farming town in Michigan. I'm probably overcoming my feelings of being very average-looking. Which made me want to create glamour and paint myself and do my makeup and hair well, and become something that I wasn't originally."

On plans to grow her empire with a burlesque tour, lingerie line for Target Australia, and a dress collection:

"The smart striptease artists knew how to evolve and maintain. Because some people are totally reliant on their looks, no’ "You don't get where you are by just being pretty."

Knowing who she is, staying humble and being incredibly hard working is exactly why we love this smart AND seksi woman!

giuliana-rancic-and-hsn-teaming-up-on-fashion-line-g-by-giuliana-for-september.jpg

Talk about a stream of good news!

Fashion Policewoman Giuliana Rancic has a lot more than babies on her mind!

The mommy-to-be is joining forces with HSN to launch her very own clothing line G by Giuliana.

Giuliana's keeping most of the deets on the DL, but she did have this to say:

"I'm beyond excited. All the time I've spent on Fashion Police, E! News and Live From the Red Carpet puts me on the front line of style. Viewers are always asking for style advice so it inspired me to start my own line. My priority was to make clothes that were very affordable and very chic. I definitely kept Joan Rivers in mind while designing the line. I want to make sure I am on her best dressed list!"

Giuliana's actually been working on the line since last year and will be unveiled sometime in September.

We can't wait to see her affordable creations!

PS. Fans of Giuliana & Bill will get a chance to hear Rancic dish all about the new collection on her reality show May 29!!!
