Well this is certainly different.

Harper's Bazaar dedicated an entire spread to Margaret Thatcher in their September issue.

The mag used celebuspawn Georgia May Jagger to recreate classic moments from the former UK Prime Minister's time in office.

Loving the tank shot!

Georgia May Jagger is the new face of the Fight Like a Girl campaign.

The 19-year-old posed for ads with the tote bag created by Marc Jacobs to help raise funds to benefit Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.

Georgia traveled to Dublin last month to launch the range which is partnered with Dublin boutique Brown Thomas.

And the cause hits close to home for Georgia as her mother’s twin sister, Terry, was diagnosed with cancer back in 1998.

The limited edition tote features Miss Marc, the adorable character created by Jacobs, shown wearing some boxing gloves and a "Fight like a girl" t-shirt.

The tote retails for about $40 in Brown Thomas stores and online with all proceeds going to Action Breast Cancer and Europa Donna Ireland.

Rimmel's Mascara Ad Is Banned In The UK

Filed Under: Anglophilia Ad Campaigns Georgia Jagger

rimmel-georgia-jagger-banned-ad.jpg
rimmel-ads-with-georgia-jagger.jpg

The UK isn’t happy with Rimmel’s latest ads featuring Georgia May Jagger.

The ads feature the hottie wearing Rimmel's 1-2-3 Looks Mascara which claims it can give you three different looks for your lashes.

What you might not notice is the small print which says it was "shot with lash inserts,” meaning they used fake lashes.

And while similar ads might be OK to run in the US, the The British Advertising Standards Authority has banned both the commercials and print ads.

They take their advertising seriously it seems. The ASA states:

"Because we considered that the use of different length lash inserts applied to the eyelash area was likely to distort the visual representation of the effect achievable from the use of the product alone, we concluded the images in the ad were misleading.”

Sounds like common sense to us.

However, Rimmel’s parent company Coty UK, states they weren’t trying to mislead. They added:

"The different length lash inserts were not intended to mislead consumers about the products' achievable effects, but made the effects recognizable for the camera in a close-up professional and highly stylized photo shoot.”

What do U think of the ads, misleading or not?
