The doe eyed New Girl Zooey Deschanel is almost always seen with a heavy sweep of brunette bangs skimming her lashes and now we know why.

In a recent interview, Zooey dished about her consistent hairstyle choice:

"I've always felt like a brunette with bangs. I've grown [my bangs] out before, but I feel more comfortable with them. I sweep them sometimes for a little change of pace. They have their own personality!"

If the hairstyle fits, wear it right?

We’re glad Zooey's so fond of her bangs but we LOVE us some full-faced action!

Cameron Diaz Wants You To Know She Doesn't Hate Her Hairdresser

Cameron Diaz is not only embracing her shorter 'do, but she also wants you to know that she DOESN'T hate her hairdresser.

After admitting that she "burst into tears" when her hairdresser cut her hair too short, Cam is now backtracking, saying that it wasn't nearly as big of a deal as everyone made it out to be.

She explains:

"Everybody started calling her — like all the rag magazines started going, 'Do you want to talk about how you ruined Cameron Diaz’s hair?'

This is a woman who does every huge actor in Hollywood. It made me so crazy that it became this whole thing that I hated my hair, when I love my hair. I loved my haircut."

Sounds like Cameron is doing a little damage control!

Besides, it'll grow out anyway… (Although, we think it's a cute cut!)

Warning: Side Bangs Can Cause Lazy Eye!?

Oh no! Talk about a fashion disaster!

According to optometrists, side bangs can cause lazy eye!

Ugh, yes, just one of the many ways beauty can harm women's health.

According to Dr. Andrew Hogan, an executive member of the Optometrists Association Australia, letting hair fall into your eye can result in amblyopia.

He explains:

"If a young [person] has a fringe covering one eye all the time, that eye won't see a lot of detail…If you walk around with an eyepatch on all day, then that eye will end up seeing more poorly than the other eye."

So, listen up, ladies (and gentlemen). Time to cut off all that side fringe. You don't want to look like a hipster anyway… Do U????
