Celebs Make Bank For Sitting On The Runway

rihannalagerfeldwenn__opt.jpg

This is ridiculous.

Fashion insiders have dished on how much certain labels will pay to have a celebrity butt in their front row seats and the price tags are HUGE. Of course it all depends what list you're on.

Here's how much each celeb pockets for an appearance:

A-List
Rihanna ($100,000 or more)
Beyonce ($80,000-$100,000)
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen ($80,000 each)
Julianne Moore ($60,000)
Maggie Gyllanhal ($60,000)
Chloe Sevigny ($60,000 or more)
Jennifer Lopez (circa 2005: $80,000; circa 2010: $30,000)
Lindsay Lohan (circa 2006: $60,000; circa 2010; UNINVITED)
Colin Firth (pre-A Single Man: $5,000; post-A Single Man: $15,000)

B-List
Blake Lively ($50,000)
Leighton Meester($40,000)
Hilary Duff ($40,000)
Other Gossip Girl cast members ($25,000 a piece)
Jared Leto ($25,000)
Cliven Owen ($10,000)
Kristen Bell (unpaid, but airfare, makeup and clothing are taken care of)

C-List
Kim Kardashian ($35,000-$50,000)
Amanda Bynes ($25,000-$30,000)
Eliza Dushku (unpaid, but airfare, makeup and clothing are taken care of)

D-List
Paris Hilton (free or UNINVITED)
Jersey Shore cast (UNINVITED)
America’s Next Top Model Winners (free)

We're guessing this list was made before word got out that the juice heads would be invading Bryant Park, but the others are pretty funny especially since Lindsanity was considered A-List.

The Duffster Shines On Nylon

Following on the heels of Gossip Girl co-stars Blake Lively and sleepy Taylor Momsen (yeah it was Nylon Japan, but it counts), Hilary Duff is Nylon's January cover girl.

Here's some HIGHlights from HDuff's interview:

Her clothing line, Femme for DKNY Jeans:
“I got to bring in textures that I loved and tell them about the shapes that I like. I designed clothing that I feel are staples for my closet. I think that’s really helpful to girls who need to know they can mix high-end with low-end, and you don’t have to buy a complete outfit the way it’s shown in the store. Every girl needs a great leather jacket, and every girl needs a skinny pair of black jeans.”

On her close bond with her mother:
“My mom is rad. I feel I’m so much like her. I don’t know if it’s wrong to drop an F-bomb in the same sentence as your mother, but I’m so fucking lucky to have my mom. She’s just taught me so much and given me so much, and she has such an open heart.”

The experience of fame:
“I walked into a mall one day and was mobbed by people. And I just remember feeling really different than everyone else. I felt really loved. But it was weird at the same time. I don’t necessarily like to walk into a place and be recognized.”

Taking the part of starlet Olivia Burke on Gossip Girl:
“I was a little hesitant. It was kind of close to home… then I realized, I would never say something [that Olivia says] like, ‘Oh, this is just for the cameras.’ I think that’s what makes me so different from some of the other people my age. It seemed for a time there were people who hated each other – and I knew they hated each other – but they were in pictures together all the time, smiling and throwing their arms around each other. I was like, “You’re in the same business I am – how can you do that and feel okay? I so wouldn’t do that.”

Sounds like those Lizzie McGuire and Disney days are a thing of the past.

Should we expect to see Jessica Szohr on the next Nylon cover???

Tory Burch Talks Gossip Girl

Tyra Banks and Hilary Duff weren't the only fashion divas on Monday night's Gossip Girl.

Designer Tory Burch also made a guest appearance on the show. But rather than saving money and filming in Tory's actual office, the show recreated it.

Says the designer: “They did an incredible job recreating my office, down to the books I have on my Lucite shelves and framed photos of my boys!”

Tory was only there to act and didn't get a chance to dress the stars, but she did give her advice on how she'd dress them from her fall collection.

“Serena’s style is sophisticated yet rebellious. I think she’d live in leather leggings, with an embellished top and oversized vest. It’s a cool, sexy look Serena could wear uptown, downtown, and everywhere in between."

But she thinks Blair "looks great in contrasting colors, prints and textures. The booties and leather driving gloves add just the right amount of edge. I would add a custom-made headband that would be cool enough - even for college.”

Maybe the show will invite Tory back and let her do what she does best, rather than acting.

The Duffster Pimping Out Her Clothing Online

Can a collection be so inspirational that people will actually create a whole televised series about it?

Well, an online webseries at least.

Such is the case with Hilary Duff's latest collection, Femme for DKNY Jeans.

The former Disney star sensation has become the face for Femme and has also helped design the line and add her own creative input for the campaign.

And in order to properly showcase the collection, they've created an online mini webseries for it, The Chase.

Says Hilary on the site of the new show, TheChaseSeries.com:

The Chase was a way for me to tell the story of Femme. At its core, Femme evokes mystery, edge, and aggressive femininity.

It was important to showcase the versatility of the collection through the characters as each piece is unique and each look makes a statement.

I hope you enjoyed it!

With love,
Hilary

And one nice feature about her collection is that almost every item is less than $100, making it accessible to a larger audience.
