Kate Bosworth wore one helluva outfit to get her hair did on Tuesday.

The usually fashionable actress stepped out of the Byron & Tracey Salon in a gray sweatshirt, pleated H&M skirt and a $760 pair of heinous Isabel Marant velcro sneakers.

$760 for those!?

No thank you.

David Beckham's Bulge-tastic H&M Ads A-OK With The ASA

Filed Under: Yummy Yummy Screw Fashion Smashion David Beckham H&M Ad Campaigns

david-beckham-undewear-ad-for-hm.jpg

Despite complaints sent in by some offended prudes, the ASA has deemed David Beckham’s racy H&M ads good to go!

The gratuitous pics in question feature a topless David Beckham in all of his hawt glory posing for his bodywear collection for H&M.

The complaints stated that the soccer star’s pics were “offensive”, "irresponsible and contained material unsuitable for children to see."

And we BEG to differ!

Apparently the ASA has agreed, and found the pictures only “mildly sexual” and explained their decision by stating:

"The ASA noted that there was no explicit nudity in the image, and that the ad was for an underwear range. We considered that the nature of the product meant viewers of the ad were less likely to regard the ad as gratuitous or offensive, and considered that the poses and facial expressions of David Beckham were mildly sexual at most. While we acknowledged that some viewers might consider the images distasteful, we concluded the ad was unlikely to cause serious or widespread offence."

We couldn't be happier with their decision!

The pics are staying and that’s that!

Thank you lawd!!!

H&M Announces New Retail Chain

Filed Under: Fashion Smashion Business Blitz H&M

hm-announces-new-retail-chain-for-2013.jpg

So they were planning something after all!

Fresh off the heels of that luxury line rumor, H&M announced on Thursday their plans to launch a new retail chain in 2013.

CEO Karl-Johan Persson said in a statement:

"We have many different projects in progress and already next year we will be launching a completely new store chain. Like COS, which today is very successful with good profitability, the new chain of stores will be independent and complement the other offerings from the group. We have great faith in this new brand and we see considerable potential for further initiatives."

That wasn't vague or anything, was it?

Even though the details are minimal, will U be shopping at H&M's new store???

Coming Soon: Luxury By H&M???

Filed Under: Fashion Smashion Business Blitz H&M

hm-rumored-to-be-working-on-luxury-line.jpg

Here's two things we never thought would go together: H&M and luxury.

According to Sweden's Dagens Industri the fast fashion chain is working on more high-end line than their current COS or Collection of Style.

When asked if there was any truth to the report an H&M spokeswoman responded with neither a confirmation or a denial, only:

"We are constantly looking at new ideas; it’s a natural part of our work. However, there is nothing new that we can [talk] about for the moment."

In that case, to be continued…
