It may sound strange, but it's true.
Designer and First Lady favorite Isaac Mizrahi is set to direct and design a production of A Little Night Music at St Louis' Opera Theater in June.
Even though Mizrahi's designed Broadway costumes before we still find the directing part a little random, but we're sure his take on the Sondenheim play will be nothing but fabulous! Congrats!

Pretty!
On Wednesday night's State of the Union address Michelle Obama chose to cover up her usually exposed arms by wearing a lovely plum colored dress by Isaac Mizrahi.
It's simple, yet classy.
Well done!

Some of the fashion industry's biggest names have lent their hand to help the women's organization, Women In Need by putting their designer touch on mini cardboard houses.
The list includes: Justin Timberlake for William Rast, Oscar de la Renta, Isaac Mizrahi, Vera Wang, Diane von Furstenberg and Bobbi Brown.
If you want to snag yourself one of the little houses, the auction you have until November 30th. All the money raised from this event will help Women In Need provide housing for homeless women and their families.
Some of them are so cute and incredibly detailed for such a small project!

Carolina's not too good for Target!
Unlike Giuseppe Zanotti and Christian Louboutin, Carolina Herrera has no qualms about creating a diffusion line.
When asked if she would consider creating a line for Target, she emphatically responded "Of course! If they asked me, of course."
She would not, however, do a line for HSN or QVC, noting that "Isaac Mizrahi is a natural actor; he can be on television. Not many designers can do it, but he can."
We bet you could too! But we like the idea of you desiging for Target or H&M better. Let's hope the bigwigs over at the discount retailers take the bait!

Ouch!
Liz Claiborne, which owns Kate Spade, Juicy Couture, Lucky Brand and Mexx is reporting a $90.5 MILLION dollar loss last quarter, which ended on October 3rd. That's almost $30 million MORE than last year.
Yikes!
Hopefully their move to J.C. Penney, QVC and Kohl's will pay off and get them out of that gigantic hole they've dug themselves!
