Haider Ackermann's Name Gets Thrown Into The Dior Rumor Mill

Filed Under: Ashton Kutcher Chanel Christian Dior John Galliano Haider Ackermann

Karl Lagerfeld might need to look elsewhere for his Chanel successor because it sounds like he's already been taken!

The latest rumor coming out of Paris is Haider Ackermann will assume the creative director position at Christian Dior, even though the fashion house reportedly extended Bill Gaytten's contract.

Here's what we know: on Wednesday morning a bouquet of flowers arrived at the Dior headquarters addressed to Mr. Ackermann. An address mix up was quickly ruled out since Haider's offices are 3.5 miles away.

So…either a French Ashton Kutcher is trying to punk the fashion world or he's "the one".

Out of all the names that have been thrown around, and there's been a lot, Haider is the most logical since he interned for John Galliano back in 90s.

Also, Ackermann is looking to hire a new assistant and it's not for his eponymous label, but rather "something new".

Dun-dun-DUN!!!

Bill Gaytten Will Stick Around At Dior For Six More Seasons

Filed Under: Marc Jacobs Christian Dior John Galliano Jil Sander

christian-dior-signs-bill-gaytten-for-another-six-seasons.jpg

The head honchos at Christian Dior have finally made some sort of decision as to who will play creative director.

Rumor has it CEO Sidney Toledano was deep in talks with Raf Simons, but when the ex-Jil Sander creative director asked for too much money like Marc Jacobs, negotiations came to a screeching halt.

Instead of finding a replacement, Toledano took the easy way out and extended Bill Gaytten's contract for another six seasons.

Ugh. Why can't they pull the trigger already and make an actual decision?

If they're looking for another John Galliano they're not going to find it so why not just hire the man back already.

Marc Jacobs Turns Down Dior's Creative Director Job

Filed Under: Marc Jacobs Christian Dior John Galliano

marc-jacobs-declines-christian-dior-creative-director-job.jpg

It's official. No one wants to take on the role as Christian Dior's creative director!

After months of meetings and sometimes sour negotiation talks, Marc Jacobs has walked away from Dior's job offer — for good.

So basically they're back to square one, which means more snooze-tastic collection courtesy of Bill Gaytten.

Maybe re-hiring John Galliano isn't such a bad idea. What do U think???

John Galliano Leaves Little To The Imagination

Filed Under: Fashion Smashion Collection's Bureau Fashion Week John Galliano

john-galliano-by-bill-gaytten-spring-2012-paris-fashion-week.jpg

Of course we're not talking about THE John Galliano since he was booted from his own level.

However, after seeing the Bill Gaytten's offerings it's quite obvious he was heavily inspired by his predecessor and Mary Poppins.

Also obvious? Gaytten's love of sheer fabric.

The models paraded down the runway with their derrieres on display, BUTT (ha!) add some lining and we can totes see some of these gowns on a red carpet.

What do U think of John Galliano without John Galliano???

Adam Lambert Wants Everyone To Forgive Galliano

Filed Under: Fashion Smashion Adam Lambert Twitter Christian Dior John Galliano

adam-lambert-defends-john-galliano.jpg

Where has he been for the past few months!?

Adam Lambert thinks everyone should forgive John Galliano for his anti-semitic comments because the designer makes nice clothes and that's coming from someone who's Jewish.

The American Idol alum tweeted on Wednesday night, which by the way was Rosh Hashanah:

Galliano: BRILLIANT designer screwed up and said offensive things. When can we forgive him and move on? LOVE his clothes. And I'm a born Jew!

@adamlambert So making gorgeous clothes makes it okay for him to be an asshole? I don't get it.

not at all… But just cuz he's (was) an asshole, that means I can't wear his gorgeous clothes? #policalcorrectnessquestions

No one's stopping you Glambert.

If you wanna wear stuff he hasn't designed since being fired from Dior or his own line go ahead.
