Mexico To Get Their Own Clothing Sizes

Mexican consumers have spoken, and their demands have been heard!

Mexico is Latin America’s second-largest apparel market, worth a whopping $5 billion in imports, but the country has been plagued by an extremely high merchandise return rate, costing the retail industry MILLIONS in loses per year.

As it turns out, the reason behind Mexican consumers returning merchandise by the droves, lies in the the fact that the European sizes found in most stores, quite simply don't fit the average Mexican.

This reason was confirmed by a team of retailers who recently conducted a survey hoping to find the "average" size of consumers across 14 major regions.

According to the study:

The average Mexican female in 18 to 25 age range is 5 feet 2 inches, tall and weigh 138 pounds, while Men of the same age range average out at 5 feet 5 inches, tall, with a weight of 170 pounds.

Armed with the new information, the retailers hope to help clothing manufacturers create a “Mexican Mold” for the average local consumer, ultimately saving an estimated $400 million by 2017 in merchandise-returns.

Modern Family's Sofia Vergara is on the April cover of Esquire and if the giant three letter word right below her tatas didn't give it away, the issue's all about SEX.

Inside, Sofia opens up about the complexities of a woman like herself.

Here are some HIGHlights:

On the loudness of a Latina:

"Yeah. There’s always a lot going on. Nick [Sofia's boyfriend] wonders how I can get really mad and scream, then turn around, do something, come back, and forget that I was mad. I didn’t even realize it was weird or insane until I came here. It’s not out of the ordinary where I come from. Everybody’s like that. It’s better that way. You forget about what’s bothering you. It’s not like you’re holding it inside, you know? You get it out — and it’s over with."

On not really knowing how to cook:

"Listen, I didn’t know how to make coffee when I came to the United States. Because in Colombia the maids do it. A mother tells the maids what to cook. The mothers are like conductors of the household. But they’re not really doing it."

On the American bikini:

"I was like, What is that? It’s like a diaper. It’s terrible. Who can look good in that? When I moved to the United States, I used to have bathing suits brought up from Colombia. There’s nothing slutty about a dental-floss bikini. You don’t even think about it. The first bathing suit your mother buys you is in the shape of a triangle."

Such a strong (and hot) woman! We love it!

La La Covers Latina Magazine

TV star and businesswoman La La Anthony is featured on the cover of Latina magazine’s April issue looking pretty in spring pastels!

The 32-year-old Puerto Rican discusses her life and career in the spotlight, being married to NY Knicks player Carmelo Anthony, as well as being a mom.

Ambitious by nature, La La says she’s always been one to multitask and juggle it all!
She reveals:

"I’m never satisfied—career-wise…I’m always looking for the next thing. Why can’t I be a great mom, wife, TV host, actress, producer, have my own reality show and makeup line? The hard part is balancing it all.”

We’d say she balances it all pretty well AND looks fabulous while doing it!
