Michael Jackson Fragrance Launch Will Be A Night To Remember

Earlier this year we mentioned Joe Jackson would be releasing a collection of fragrances as a way to cash in on as a tribute to Michael Jackson and the release date is quickly approaching.

Julian Rouas Paris, the company behind Jackson's Tribute and Jackson's Legend, announced on Facebook they will hold an exclusive "invite only" launch party in Las Vegas.

The "Night To Remember" event is scheduled to go down on June 9th at Pure nightclub.

We're sure it'll be a tacky clASSy event.

Joe Jackson To Sell Michael Jackson Inspired Fragrances

When will Joe Jackson just stop?

Papa Jackson has teamed up with French perfume company, Julian Rouas Paris, to launch a fragrance collection dedicated to Michael Jackson.

Joe is working on both male and female scents which he plans on calling Jackson's Tribute and Jackson's Legend.

The scents are said to be inspired by the plants which were grown at Michael’s Neverland ranch.

The only positive of this all is that a portion of the proceeds from the sales are reportedly going to benefit several of Michael's favorite charities.

As for Julian Rouas' chief executive, he reveals:

“With Joe Jackson, we are 50-50 partners in world sales, television rights and advertising receipts. We did it very, very quickly. Usually it takes a year.”

The scents are set to be released this March.

Thoughts?

The Jackson family took over the music industry decades ago and now they hope to do the same with the fashion world.

The business savvy clan has just launched their music-inspired collection of t-shirts and limited edition leather jackets under their J5 Collection line.

The collection is a combination of 24 vintage images and illustrations combined with modern fashion with items for men and women which include crew tees, v-neck tees, tank tops, crop tees and more with prices between $45-$55.

But for the real Jackson fanatics, limited edition replicas of iconic jackets are up for sale like the Thriller and Beat It jackets. However, those go for around $900.

Select styles are already available online with the rest of the collection hitting stores and boutiques next February.

What do U think of their new business idea?

Princess Diana Gown Sells For Over $200k

Filed Under: Fashion Smashion Michael Jackson Business Blitz

princess-diana-dress.jpg

One very dedicated Princess Diana fan just spent a lot of money purchasing one of her old dresses.

In fact, someone paid $205,429.20 for a fuchsia pink evening gown by Victor Edelstein worn by Princess Di.

The auction took place online at GottaHaveRockandRoll.com and ended over the weekend.

The economy might be tough, but money is no object when it it comes to Princess Diane memorabilia.

And coming in a far second on the auction, was Michael Jackson’s Bad album cover photoshoot worn gloves bringing in over $62,000.

As for the dress, what do U think, too much money spent?

Because they did SO well with their singing career, Jedward aka the high-haired twins from X Factor, are launching their own line called Pop Icons.

GROAN.

John and Edward Grimes say of their upcoming range:

"Fashion is our big passion and our collection will look hot on the catwalk. We think everybody will love to wear stuff like that. Our clothes will have lots of bold colour and cool patterns."

Uh huh, just like everybody LOVED your music, right?

Pop Icons will be inspired by Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury iconic style, which could be modeled by the twins down the runway if it even makes it that far.

Jedward added:

"We're signed to Next Models so we have experience. We know how to pose and walk, plus we've worked with some big-name photographers."

Just because you know how doesn't mean you should.

What do U think of Jedward's new business venture???
