Penelope Cruz Graces Another Cover

Katie Couric, take note!

Looking stunning as usual, Penelope Cruz graces the cover of the upcoming issue of Interview Magazine, shot by Mikael Jansson.

Inside the pages, Cruz's Nine co-star, Marion Cotillard, commands the interview with insightful questions that elicit great revealing responses. Check out some of the highlights:

When asked what films she watched growing up:
A lot of Pedro Almodóvar’s movies, actually—I got obsessed with him at an early age. I watched every one of his movies on the Betamax. It wasn’t until he released Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! [1990] that I finally saw one of his movies in a theater. I remember I had to take the bus and the metro to get there. I went alone and lied about my age because I was not 16 yet, and that’s how old you had to be to go. After I saw the movie, I took a walk by myself around Madrid. That was the day that I decided that I would at least try to get an agent and be an actress.

When asked how she chooses her roles:
I try to look at the whole thing and say yes to the projects that I cannot stop thinking about. If I read a script and the subject stays with me—then that’s when I want to go to work. Before, I was very addicted to being on set, and I was doing three or four movies a year for many years. Now, fortunately, I can go to work only when I am passionate about a project, and the rest of the time, I can live my life. I’m not interested in doing movies just as a marathon. When I go to work now, I have much more to give. But the other way, you get empty.

On whether or not she remembers her dreams:
Yes, because when I am dreaming at night, I see everything as a shot from a movie. I have cranes and extras in my dreams. [Cotillard laughs] I swear to you! It doesn’t happen every day, but many nights my dreams are like a movie. I don’t see normal movement—I see things in very complicated shots. That’s why I do remember many of them.

On the four guests she would invite to dinner if she could pick anyone:
This is very interesting. I would take Federico Fellini, Billy Wilder, Woody Allen, and Pedro Almodóvar, and I would make broken eggs, which is a Spanish dish. It’s all fried, and it’s very fattening, with a lot of oil, salt, eggs, and potatoes. I know how to make it, and it’s so greasy, but there is a truth to it. Can you imagine this group?

On whether or not she is confident in herself:
No. [laughs] I think about that a lot. It doesn’t matter if you have more success or less success—confidence is not really measured by that. I think most actors . . . We are insecure, in general. I think to be an actor, you need to have an ego, but then, our ego is our worst enemy.

We love!

The rest of the interview is really great, and the chemistry between these two women is evident, which makes us excited to see Nine. Check out the full exchange on InterviewMagazine.com.

Enjoy!

Behind The Scenes Of The Botched Vogue Cover

Style.com has recently released a behind the scenes look at what could have been a decent cover for Vogue's November issue.

The Cover Wasn't The Only Problem

vogue_nov_inside_e.jpg

Yesterday we showed you Vogue's attempt of making 4 different people look like they were all present at a photo shoot.

And they failed. Terribly.

The inside photo of the ladies with the addition of Fergie, Dame Judi Dench and Sophia Loren isn't much better. Even though they managed tone down the 'shopping it's still a hot mess. Quite frankly, it looks like a bad version of ANTM's model collage.

Let's start with our favorite Kate Hudson. She looks like a hooker, and a bad one at that. She's got the sex hair down, but for an editorial it would have been nice if the stylist actually cared what her hair looks like. However, they did a good job editing out her double chin.

Fergie just looks like she was added in last minute to fill up space. Did anyone even know she was in the film to begin with???

The only person that looks normal is Nicole Kidman lets be honest, she always looks frozen.

The picture comes off as uncomfortable bonding. They're really forcing the whole "we love each other" thing.

Better luck next time, Vogue.

What do U think of the photograph???

Vogue Assaults November Issue With Photoshop

vogue_us_nov_e.jpg

Is Vogue being serious with this cover?

Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Penélope Cruz and unfortunately Kate Hudson are starring in the upcoming film Nine together, but they don't look anything like they do on screen.

It's almost like they didn't even try to get all the actresses together for the shoot.

They should have gone the Elle route and given them separate covers.

Boo Anna Wintour!

Why don't you cut some of your budgets by firing whoever did this terrible Photoshop job?

P.S. Do you think Nicole asked them about the anti-aging apple featured on the cover???

La familia Cruz has some good DNA!

Penelope Cruz' hermanita, Monica Cruz, shows off her seksi side in October's Elle Spain.

Although we don't like the smoking, the rest of it is HAWT!

Which Cruz sister do U think is hotter???
