Was this the best they could do after getting rejected by Sarah Palin?
After illegally using President Obama's image in their "Fit For A President" campaign, Weatherproof has now tapped the very dead 16th President Abraham Lincoln to be featured in their ads.
Guess no one is alive to tell them they can't use his image, right?
The obviously photoshopped billboard is set to go up in Las Vegas, near Mandalay Bay and will stay up for 28 days, which includes running during the MAGIC fashion trade show.
We're just confused on why they couldn't choose someone less dead and more relevant than Abe.
Thoughts???

French President Nicolas Sarkozy is finally speaking out against the proposed ban on burkas in the European country.
While it's no secret that Sarkozy is opposed to the Islamic fashion, the president said on Wednesday night that "it would be wise to wait for its consultations and reflections to come to fruition before deciding definitively,"
Sarkozy also warns that parliament should not make an extreme decision that could lead to alienation of a particular section of society saying:
"The full veil is not welcome in France because it runs contrary to our values and contrary to the idea we have of a woman's dignity. Let us undertake not to give opponents of democracy, dignity and sexual equality the chance for a victory which would put our society in a very difficult situation."
He also added that any law should avoid making anyone feel stigmatized. And suggested to they pass a non-binding "unambiguous" resolution that explains the burka's it's incompatibility with French values.
Sounds to us like he's trying to be very diplomatic and careful with his words so he doesn't piss off either side, which isn't surprising and probably a wise decision.
Do U agree with Sarkozy???

This is an odd pairing.
Former Prime Minister Tony Blair is in final negotiations to join LVMH.
Fortunately, he wouldn't be designing. Rather he would be advising the company and close friend Bernard Arnault.
According to a source close to the luxury brand "There is an agreement in principle but nothing has been signed yet. Mr Blair won’t be joining the board but he will be acting in an advisory role, working very closely with Mr Arnault. In particular, his job is likely to involve attracting new clients."
If Tony does take the job, he'll be starting later this year.
We're still confused on what he would be advising. Then again, we've heard of stranger things.

We're not sure if Barack Obama shops at Marc Jacobs, but if he does he'll be greeted with some choice words from the designer.
Marc has recently put up this image in his store on Melrose Ave featuring the President's silhouette with the short message:
"Dear Mr. President You Promised I Voted Now Please Deliver!"
What? Winning the Nobel Peace Prize isn't enough?

Santo Versace has nominated his rival, King Giorgio for a seat in the Italian Senate.
What!?
Maybe the Senate of Fashion, but the Italian Senate? Really?
Versace sent a letter to Italian President Giorgio Napolitano saying: "Armani is the best candidate to receive the nominee for senator for life. The image of our country would’ve been very different without" Armani's success in fashion.
Donatella Versace's brother just so happens to be a member of the lower house of Parliament, so maybe that could help Giorgio land a seat.
Even if Armani gets the seat, which could be appointed by Italy’s president as a “senator for life” recognizing the designer's lifetime achievements, he's 75 years old and as of late hasn't been in great health.
But, Santo believes Armani is the man for the job saying: "No one can do a better job than Giorgio Armani in showing the beauty of Italy — the Italy that we desire."
If anything that's quite a compliment from a competitor.
Congrats on the nomination King Giorgio!
