Smell Like An Apple Product? Yep, There's A Fragrance For That

Filed Under: Wacky, Tacky & True Australiastic Tech Talk Fragranz!

apple-mac-product-fragrance.jpg

Finally!

Three Australian designers known as Greatest Hits have concocted a fragrance that smells like brand new Apple products.

So what, pray tell, does a fresh out of the box MacBook or iPhone smell like?

According to Air Aroma, the company who helped create the geeky scent, it:

"…encompasses the smell of the plastic wrap covering the box, printed ink on the cardboard, the smell of paper and plastic components within the box and of course the aluminum laptop which has come straight from the factory where it was assembled in China."

That sounds terrible.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), the fragrance was only produced for the Greatest Hits' De facto Standard exhibit in Melbourne and will not be for sale.

Shucks.

Bodymetrics Machine Tells You What Jeans To Buy!

Filed Under: Fashion Smashion Tech Talk

bodymetrics-pod-tells-you-what-jeans-to-buy-web.jpg

Finding the perfect pair of jeans can be a hassle, but thanks to new technology there's now a machine that does the leg work for you.

All you gotta do is step into a Bodymetrics pod to have your body scanned and presto! It recommends jeans by brand and body type!

The machine used Microsoft Kinect technology and classifies body in gems: "Emerald" for slim shapes, "Ruby" for curvy shapes and "Sapphire" for those in the middles.

Only three sizes,? That could raise a few eyebrows!

The pod is up and running in the UK and will receive a test stateside at Bloomingdale's before branching out to over 100 stores.

Would you let a machine tell U what jeans to get???
