Wow!!

Tina Fey waltzed on up to the red carpet in a navy Carolina Herrara peplum dress.

And we think it fits her and her style perfectly!!

But we're especially loving the jewels!!

She's dazzling in platinum earrings with sixteen oval cut blue sapphires and sixteen emeralds!! Her ring is platinum with one sapphire, emeralds, and baguette diamonds — all from Bulgari.

LOLz, we did and loved it!

We also loved Tina's fuchsia tulle dress by Oscar de la Renta and Kwiat jewelry as she walked down the red carpet.

Magazine Sales Way Down, Except…

Filed Under: Fashion Smashion Media Minute Tina Fey Lady GaGa Business Blitz Spread 'Em Vogue

lady-gaga-covers-vogue-2011.jpg

Print magazines have been hurting for a while, especially since it’s so easy to get free news online.

So it's not surprising that most magazines have dropped in sales.

For example, Marie Claire was down 21.5% in single-copy sales in the first half of the year, Glamour was down 17.5%, and People StyleWatch was down 11.8%.

One industry insider reveals:

“Fashion seems reflective of the overall trend right now. Overall, only a few magazines are not doing so badly but, mostly, there are a lot of negative numbers.”

Though it seems the right celebrities help increase sales. Lady GaGa’s Vogue cover last year sold over 100,000 more than their March issue featuring Tina Fey.

Wowsa!

Maya Rudolph looked fantastic at the NBC Upfront event on Monday.

The Bridesmaids actress showed off her growing bump in an Alexander McQueen 3D koi jacquard knit dress, white blazer and caramel colored heels.

Maybe she can share some of her pregnancy fashion tips with Tina Fey.

Fashion According To Tina Fey

Filed Under: Fashion Smashion Tina Fey

tina-fey-fashion-advice-in-bossypants.jpg

When it comes to fashionable celebrities, Tina Fey usually isn't the first person that comes to mind, but that doesn't mean she can't give out advice!

The funny lady writes in her new book, Bossypants:

"A wise friend once told me, 'Don’t wear what fashion designers tell you to wear. Wear what they wear.' His point being that most designers, no matter what they throw onto the runway, favor simple, flattering pieces for themselves. Anyone who has never met me can tell you that fashion has always been very very very very very very very important to me. For example, I once told my cousin that my dream would be 'if the whole store Express was my closet!' How prescient, because now, of course, I wear nothing but Express.

It can’t be said enough. Don’t concern yourself with fashion; stick to simple pieces that flatter your body type … By 19, I had found my look. Oversize T-shirts, bike shorts, and wrestling shoes. To prevent the silhouette from being too baggy, I would cinch it at the waist with my fanny pack. I was pretty sure I would wear this look forever. The shirts allowed me express myself with cool sayings like ‘There’s No Crying in Baseball’ and ‘Universität Heidelberg,’ the bike shorts showed off my muscular legs, and the fanny pack held all my trolley tokens. I was nailing it on a daily basis. Find something like this for yourself as soon as possible."

Well, at least we know who to blame if any of these trends make a comeback.
