After relocating from their bedbug infested offices at Broadway and 50th to the Time-Life building, Elle still has pests only these are much bigger.
An email was sent out to the staff warning them to be extra cautious with their belongings because they could get stolen.
The email read:
"We're sorry to report that we have experienced several incidences of theft over the last few days. We are making sure we have locks available tomorrow . . . In the meantime, we urge you all to lock up your laptops or take them home with you until we have a way to secure them."
Shady.
You'd think a building like Time-Life would have better security than that.

Nike's bedbug problem has migrated south, South of Houston that is.
The athletic company had to close down it's SoHo location on Wednesday because just like Niketown, they've got bedbugs.
As of today, the 57th Street flagship remains closed after closing their doors on Saturday.
Where will they strike next???

This is becoming a mayjah problem!
Manhattan's Niketown was forced to close on Saturday due to bedbugs.
Nike released a statement saying:
"Our primary concern is the well-being of our consumers and sales associates. We are taking all proper steps to eradicate the problem, and we expect the store to reopen shortly."
The store has yet to announce when they'll reopen, but considering the store is 5 floors we're guessing it'll take a while.

It's been a rough year for Abercrombie & Fitch.
After being infested with bedbugs and cutting prices to keep up with competitors the preppy retailer will be closing 60 stores by the end of the year and 50 more by 2012.
Abercrombie said the majority of the closures are due to expired leases, but we're sure having crappy sales didn't help either.

The bedbugs in New York City have moved on from Victoria's Secret and into to Elle magazine's office!
On Friday the Broadway and 50th St. offices shut down temporarily due to a bedbug infestation on the 44th floor and now they're back!
A bedbug spy says:
"They just sent home at least half of the 42nd floor—apparently they didn't do such a thorough job exterminating the Elle offices over the weekend and now the bugs have migrated down two floors."
Guess the bedbugs are tired of seeing Julia Roberts everywhere too!
